I finally got a chance to look at the forwarding agent training CD from Team Expansion. I am attempting to make copies of the CD and send them out to you guys asap (though I have a feeling that it will only play on a windows PC as it is a .exe file). There is also a booklet that came with it and training for Quickbooks. There is a lot of extra information that we won't need because Team Expansion requires a lot more from thier forwarding agents, but it is quite helpful nonetheless.
One question that I had and I believe Joe and Amy may have had is answered in the bank accounts tutorial. The way we have set up our bank accounts is, in fact, acceptable and legal. They explain that it is okay for the missionaries to be signers on the (SPCF) bank account and have debit cards on the account. They also said any checks that are made up should have the following format for the address in the upper left corner (though I'm sure a different format would be acceptable as well):
(SPCF)
c/o (forwarding agent's name)
(forwarding agent's address)
As long as we, as missionaries, are signers on the bank account, we can sign those checks as well. Bill Weber set up Randy and Mikki's bank account without them as signers saying it would look better to the IRS that way, but according to Team Expansion, the way we have set ours up is fine. I hope you all are doing well. I'm looking forward to our skype meeting this weekend.
