Good People
So we finally have internet and I feel connected to the world again. NZ is starting to feel more and more like home.
Hamish went with a friend this weekend because the friend's grandmother is dying and this may be his last chance to see her. It was a last minute thing and plans worked out so that Hamish could go. I still had work so I needed to stay otherwise I would have gone with them. Being alone in a foreign country can be a scary thing, but I have been so blessed. I had two friends stop in Friday night that spent the evening with me and kept me company. They took my mind off of being alone. Saturday night Hamish's parents invited me 'round for tea and a movie. Again I have been so blessed not only with people who encourage and pray for me in the States but friends and family in NZ as well. I don't like being away from Hamish, and I miss him like crazy (and he's only been gone a day and a half!) but, I am well taken care of. A girl couldn't ask for anything more. The realization suddenly hit today that this is my home now and I can put down roots. It has been friendships and relationships that have really shown God to me over the past few months.

It's good to hear that you're getting connected. You're good people! It's still hard for whitney and me to be apart for even a day. It's nice to love somebody.

(Our student minister used that song in his sermon this morning).
