Hey team! I just got off the phone with John Pierce - SPCF board member in FL. He met with the current senior minister of the church he used to lead in Deltona - Cornerstone Christian Church. He said they were very interested in supporting SPCF and they want Joe and me to meet with them on Wednesday night, April 25th while we're in Orlando for the conference! I called and left a message for the contact person John gave me (Kevin Key - sr. minister, no big deal). I checked out their website - I was impressed. Let's pray for some big-time support from these guys! Joe, I'll contact you with details. We'll let the rest of you know how it goes in April. Amy and Whitney, Joe and I will need some serious coaching before this one!

Hey, that's awesome! Go get 'em! Is there anything you would need from me on this one?

n8,
I like to send information to the contact person before hand to whet thier appetite. Do we have an address? What do you think would be appropriate to send?

You guys don't need coaching! You will do great I am really excited about the idea of funsraising for our ministry expenses as a team. I think that churches will be more likely to give larger amounts to a group effort, especially if the board members are making the initial contacts.
Nate- Please pack GazX strips for Joe.
Joe- Please make sure that Nate doesn't ask any silly questions (like "why don't you have very much hair on your legs?")

Amy - Consider the gasX packed. And consider the silly questions inevitable!
Joe - I also like the idea of sending something ahead of time. We can collaborate about it on the way to the meeting and come up with a packet to send. FYI, the address is:
Cornerstone Christian Church
2813 Howland Blvd.
Deltona, FL 32725
Hamish - Maybe we could get you to write a letter of introduction to the church for us to give to them at the meeting. Of course, you'll be there in spirit and on DVD.
Whitney - I love you. I think you're great.
Molly - I think you're great too! Are you still working at Blockbuster?! Using any exclamation points lately?!
Hector - Rory says hi.
Rory - You smell like corn chips.

Here's my coaching tip:
Try not to talk for an hour and a half, like Nate and I did in our last presentation. I think we finally found the exception to the rule: "You cannot over-communicate."
As for what to send them, we should each write a 500 word essay on how good-looking and humble our team is. I know that's Nate's favorite thing to point out.

Okay...I like where this is going!
