Kia Ora

Hey all!

Let me tell you that God is good, and that He has been looking after us a lot. Molly and I went out and bought our tickets with the idea that any support we raised would reimburse us. Well, we have ben given NZ $3800 of the NZ $3960 total. That leaves only US $100 approx left, which we can certainly cover ourselves. I have to thank all of you guys for the way that you have gone out of your way to help us out with funds. It means a lot to Molly and I.

So, our travel plans. Obviously, there are a few variables. Molly and I worked out a tentative plan, but please feel free to disagree.

We arrive in Indianapolis October 26 at 11pm. Molly's parents will pick us up, and we will spend the weekend in Wilmington, OH with her family. Since I heard that you guys might be visiting the munns for dinner in Cincy on the Monday, we thought that we could hook up with you guys then. On the way back, Molly's parents can pick us up on cincy and drop us off at the airport in Indy. I hope that is all kosher with you guys.

A few more things: Do we need to bring sleeping bags or something for the night in Lexington? We can get them from Molly's family if that is so. Also, I wanted to throw a wrench in the mix. I have been talking to Randall recently, and he mentioned that we might want to talk to Bill Kershner, who helped with Shore's church plant back in the day. I'm not sure if he will be interested, but he might be. He is in his thirties, married and with at least one kid. He has also been in ministry for many years. I don't know how you guys feel about this, but I wanted to run it by you. Here's the thing: He lives in Bloomington, Indiana, and this trip might provide a perfect opportunity to go see him. If you guys think it is worth it, we can try it.

Sorry for the long blog. Talk to you soon!
Hamish

Praise God for providing. That's great! I think those plans will work out well since both the flammers and hutchisons will be passing through cincy both ways. Whitney and I might stay in Lexington for a night after the assessment, so I'm sure the flammers could give you a ride back to cincy. (and anyone is welcome to stay overnight in Lexington again if need be)

I don't think we will be needing sleeping bags for the arrangements in Lexington. I will let you know the details as soon as I know.

As for the wrench. I think someone should definitely try to meet with Bill at some point, but logistically, I don't think it would be possible (at least for Whitney and myself) to do it that week. We work that monday, so we will be meeting up with you in cincy after 7pm, then on to KY and then the assessment. After CPAC, we're headed to Zanesville for Whitney's birthday.

I would certainly be willing to meet with or talk to Bill at any other time since we're the closest to him.

Can't wait to see all of you in a couple of weeks!

Hamish,

I am looking forward to spending some quality time with the Taylors! It is awesome that God is providing for everyone's needs. This whole assessment is a huge step in our plans, and I think that God is powerfully advancing in the world and in New Zealand.

Amy and I would be happy to drop you off in Cincy, and we might even be able to work out Indy if you want us to bring you there, but I would assume you would like to spend quality time with the Vances.

I am also willing to talk to Bill and see if and how he fits into God's plan for NZ/this team.

I am excited to see you guys.

Joe
