Traveling to the Assessment
The assessment is right around the corner! I'm kind of excited about it. I think we should discuss some travel details (I have discussed this some with Joe already).
First of all, Joe and I both think it would be wise to split the traveling into 2 days, especially since my parents live near Lexington, KY (a great overnight resting spot in the trip). If we didn't do this, the Flammers would drive for about 10 hours in one day and those of us leaving from Indy, about 7 hours in one day.
If I remember correctly, Hamish and Molly were planning on being in Indy the weekend prior to the assessment. In that case, we could all meet in Indy on Monday, October 30th (Joe, I checked mapquest and it looks like going through Indy on the way to Lexington is the faster way anyway). Whitney and I will have to work that day, so we can leave from Danville by 5pm. Hamish and Molly, we can swing by and pick you guys up from Molly's grandmother's house if that works for you. We would then drive to Lexington in 2 cars (Flammers and Hutchisons can drive unless the Taylors will need their car...if you will even have one at that point). It is a 3.5 hour-drive from Indy to my parent's in KY.
I asked my dad and he said housing would not be a problem. We could've all stayed with my parents, but my mom is having surgery on her nose that day (not cosmetic - a deviated septum or something). So, there is a nice family just down the road with a big finished basement with bedrooms. We've had people stay there before. My dad will check on that for us if this is okay with everyone. The other good part about stopping in Lexington is that we will almost surely be able to take one of the church vans from my dad's church the rest of the way so we can ride together. We can leave our car and the Flammer's car at the church and pick them up on the way back through that Friday.
So, then we wake up Tuesday morning to a 4 hour drive the rest of the way to Johnson City all together in a church van! Woo hoo! When the assessment is over on Friday we'll stop back through and pick up our cars at the church and go our separate ways.
Hamish and Molly: from there you have a couple of options. If you're headed to Molly's parent's house in Wilmington, Whitney and I will be passing right through there on our way to visit with her family in Zanesville, OH. If you're needing to get back to Indy, you could ride back that direction with Joe and Amy on their way back home. (Our house would be open to any of you needing to crash there that night, but of course, we would be in Zanesville).
I know this was crazy long, but there was a lot to explain. Let me know soon if this plan will work for you so I can work the details out for the van and housing in Lexington. Thanks!

Good Planning Nate! It's crazy that the assessment is just a few weeks away. The plan sounds good to us, we can work out more details on the 14th too.

Awesome. See you then. What time do you think you'll be rolling into Danville on Saturday? (so we can let Reuben and Anna know).

Nevermind. It looks like if we meet up with Reuben and Anna it will be on our way to the assessment instead of this weekend.
